Welcome to The Tax Club university of Ibadan.
This is a foremost student organization aimed at promoting
the awareness and relevance of taxation in the various sectors of the economy as well as building a tax-conscious society.
Inception
The Tax Club, UI started in November 2016 and has since grown rapidly under the mentorship of Prof Abiola Sanni the patron of the club as well as Dr Peter Oniemola and Dr Samuel Orekoya the Staff Advisers.
Defining Success
Over the course of its few years, the club has taken giant strides in terms of recognition and strategic partnerships with relevant professionals and agencies, launching of its first tax workshop, membership growth, remarkable events amongst others.

Why Join Our Club?
We groom and build members to become tax erudite by teaching taxation from the basics
Aren’t you curious? Why tax? Why taxes in society? Benjamin Franklin said the only two certainties in life are death and taxes. So essentially, dread it, run from it, and taxes arrive all the same. In my opinion, one of the biggest favors you can do yourself is to stay ahead of it, learn about it, and understand it.
Among all these, we give our members the opportunity to attend tax conferences, tax seminars, tax workshops, and as well go on courtesy visits to prominent tax firms, etc. We also afford our members the opportunity to participate in competitions, with the goal of securing amazing prizes and awards while also networking with tax experts and enthusiasts.
